Restin' in Destin

From Janie, the last of four posts going up today:

 

Sunday, November 4.

 

We just spent a quiet rest day in Destin, Florida.  We got off the bikes about an hour north of here, and came down for two nights.

 

This morning, we walked on the beach, had massages, ate a late brunch.  This afternoon, we napped, Jody did laundry, Nicole went grocery shopping, we watched a little football (Go, Broncos!  Go, Pack!), I updated the blog.  Jody and I planned our route and I booked hotels for the drive home to Iowa City. 

 

We finish in Hilton Head on Sunday, November 11.  We expect to be home in Iowa City on Sunday, November 12.  Hard to believe we're coming down the home stretch.  Seven more days of riding.  Wheels in the Atlantic.  The trip of a lifetime.
